..Sisig Tofu
My gf's personal favorite, but with more mayo

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp liquid seasoning
- Pepper, to taste
- Butter
- Optional: calamansi, a pinch of sugar
- 1/2 white onion, diced
- 1 block firm tofu, cut into small cubes
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 3 green chillies, sliced
Steps
- Deep fry or air fry tofu until golden brown and crispy.
- Make the sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, oyster sauce, liquid seasoning, pepper, and optional calamansi or sugar. Mix until smooth.
- In a pan, melt butter and sauté onions.
- Add bell peppers and chillies. Cook until slightly softened.
- Add the fried tofu and toss gently.
- Remove from heat and pour in the sauce mixture.
- Mix until everything is evenly coated.
Notes
- Add calamansi for brightness or a pinch of sugar for balance.
- Adjust the creaminess by adding more or less mayonnaise. I prefer to use Japanese Kewpie mayo since it’s richer in texture as well as taste.
